DFA Pollockhas an immediate opening for 1St Shift Table Operator.No experience required; training provided. This position will work Monday–Thursday from 1:00 am - 11:00 am and Fridays 1:00 am – 9:00 am. Saturdays and Sundays are normally scheduled off. Hours can vary slightly depending on production volumes.

Starting at $18.71/hr. with $1.00/hr. night premium when working from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am. A sign-on bonus of $1500.00 paid out over the first 6 months of employment.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

. Perform all work safely according to company standards (use of lockout/tagout when required).

. Monitor operation of cheese tables.

. Maintain appearance of cheese table area during production (floors free of cheese, etc).

. Communicate any unsafe condition immediately.

. Communicate well with Vat operator and Tower operator.

. Complete documentation on cheese make

. Maintain a neat and orderly production area

. Must be able to stand for long periods of time

. Must be able to shovel cheese at numerous times

. Must be trained in all required safety programs.

. Able to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

. Other duties as assigned
Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

. High School Diploma or GED is not required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

. Basic technical skills associated with a manufacturing process

. Perform chemical testing

. Good safety and quality habits.

. Able to operate chain hoist, lift truck, pH meter, cheese auger, curd valves,

. Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail.

. Desire to work as a team with employees throughout the plant.

. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

. Must be able to take direction from Supervisory staff.

. Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

. Must be able to work 10-hour shifts.

. Must be able to read, write and speak English

Pollock is in a small community on beautiful Lake Oahe on the North and South Dakota border. The plant runs 24 hours 5 days a week and is a non-union plant that consists of around 40 employees.
