JOB SUMMARY

The Welder is responsible for laying out, aligning and welding mainly vinyl and aluminum frames by using welding equipment or hand tools. This role is in charge of laying out frames as well as assemble according to the requirements of the assignment. The Welder applies appropriate welding processes to join, surface, and fabricate frame parts of metal or vinyl according to layouts and work orders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Comply with Boral Safety Policies
• Applies appropriate welding processes to join frames
• Maintain welding equipment through regular welding equipment maintenance
• Perform other duties and responsibilities requested by the supervisor
• Use of hand and power tools
• Fit and align fabricated frames to be welded or assembled
• Align parts or workpieces to ensure proper assembly
• Moves parts and heavy frames on and off machinery
• Lays out, positions, aligns and fits frames or parts together in various body positions
• Prepare and execute order fulfillment
• Fit and weld complex assemblies
• May inspect completed work for conformance to specifications
• Set up work as required for welding
• Regular attendance, timeliness and scheduling flexibility
