- Conducts daily inspections on vehicles before operating and annotates A.F. Form 1800
- Assists with loading and unloading of personnel and cargo.
- Operates a variety of light vehicles from sedans up to 1½ ton trucks or up to 15 passengers.
- Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of vehicle.
- Practices good housekeeping, FOD prevention and safety at all times.
- Ensures command cars are cleaned and fueled according to the schedule.
- Maintains proper radio etiquette, including the use of 10-series radio communication codes.
- Must use proper customer service etiquette. Performs other associated duties as assigned. Physical ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Must be able to demonstrate, as least annually, the ability to properly and safely operate the indicated vehicles. Must also possess knowledge of the locations of various buildings/agencies on base and have general knowledge of the Oklahoma City area and accident reporting procedures.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Secure Area badge, Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and be flight-line qualified.
- Must possess or be able to obtain National Agency Check (NAC).
- Drivers assigned VIP runs will also: Operate the VIP Minibus or Minivan.
- Abide by the code of conduct for Distinguished Visitor drivers. Groom and wear clothing appropriate for conducting VIP runs.
