As Market Development Manager COPD, your accountability is to understand the needs that exist for COPD patients and to improve the patient journey on a global scale. As part of your tasks you will be responsible for executing the ACT on COPD non-branded market development program, changing the current treatment paradigm, from empirical to biology-led.

The successful individual will demonstrate strong skills in the areas of cross-functional coordination (specifically with medical, commercial and policy teams) and partnering externally with companies to identify critical capabilities needed for the long-term vision.

Previous experience in market development programs and roll out, knowledge about multiple country environment are essential to this role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

As the global Market Development Manager COPD, you will report to the Market Development Director and be part of the global Breztri and Bevespi team. You will build robust insights on the COPD ecosystem and the patients. You will drive the markets to a full execution of the Act on COPD program. You will develop the key support components, identify potential vendors for the services included into the platform to deliver a biology-led point of care. You will support development of the business case for additional resources needed to support long term vision based on insights and partnerships.

In this position, you liaise cross functionally with colleagues in AZ from markets and other global functions such as Medical Affairs, the Digital Excellence Team, to shape the development of program.

The successful individual demonstrates strong skills in the areas of leadership, decision making, communication ability to influence, problem solving and collaboration at both the global and country level.

In this role, you are accountable to:

  • Understand the needs that exist for COPD patients and to improve the patient journey on a global scale
  • Design and execute the ACT on COPD non-branded market development program
  • Drive the markets to a full execution of the Act on COPD program
  • Ensure coordination with cross-functional team
  • Drive innovation across the way we work and design the program
  • Provide promotional input to the global strategy / Brand Strategic Plan

Essential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
  • Broad commercial experience including pre-launch and launch specifically in Primary care environment
  • In-depth understanding of commercial strategy, methodologies and tools (product profiling and positioning, forecasting, pricing & reimbursement, market research techniques, competitive intelligence resources)
  • Proven experience of engaging with and leveraging insights from external customers e.g. KEEs, prescribers, payors
  • Ability to understand and interpret clinical evidence
  • Experience of shaping brand strategy whilst the understanding of product profile is evolving
  • Strategic, decisive, problem-solver
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills to ensure markets preparation
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functional boundaries
  • Demonstrated ability to bring ideas to action
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills (written and verbal) required
