About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for an Account Manager to join our team. We are looking for someone to establish profitable growth, develop the market penetration for WEG products in assigned territory, including building the customer base via new business development. Continuously grow "share of wallet" with existing customers. Together with the leadership team define the optimal markets and offerings for respective pursuits and develop ideal customer profile. Identify project opportunities and communicate throughout organization as appropriate. Territory is South Central U.S. with optimal canidate location in Houston, TX area.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Profitable growth.
  • Develop the market penetration for WEG products in assigned territory, including building the customer base via new business development
  • Continuously grow "share of wallet" with existing customers
  • Together with the leadership team define the optimal markets and offerings for respective pursuits and develop Ideal Customer Profile
  • Identify project opportunities and communicate throughout organization as appropriate
  • Evaluate opportunities and determine viability
  • Employ project management skills to lead meetings and discussions
  • Collaborate with other WCM associates involved in expansion of the business
  • Create and execute a strategic growth plan
  • Work closely with manufacturing, Customer Service and Application Engineering to ensure proper specification submission and interpretation
  • Understand, evaluate and navigate through a variety of complex commercial and engineering business situations
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or related field or equivalent work experience.

Knowledge / training:
  • Experience calling on technical OEM�s and proposing appropriate product solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels and all disciplines of an organization.
  • Experience and proven success in evaluating and navigating through complex commercial business situations.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 30%-40%.
  • Capable of developing and implementing both short and long term growth targets.
  • Must be self-motivated and goal orientated.
  • Able to work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Able to identify business opportunities and bring short and long term projects to completion.
  • Able to build strong relationships with different levels of management.
  • Experience with CRM (i.e. Salesforce.com) systems preferred.

Experience:
  • 5+ years of applicable industrial sales experience, preferably in motors.
  • Experience with pumps, compressors, fans, and material handling applications preferred.
