The Douglas County Court is taking applications for a full-time Accounting Clerk position in our Criminal Traffic Division. This position is located in our Criminal Traffic Division. This is a responsible accounts payable/receivable and accounting position in the maintenance and balancing of all financial records of the county court. Douglas County is the largest court in the state of Nebraska handling over 90,000 cases a year and this position plays a critical and intricate role in the operations of the court.
Work involves daily cash balancing functions, maintaining all financial records of the court, with responsibility for their accuracy, monitoring daily, monthly, and annual JUSTICE reports for the purpose of checks and balances, may be assigned other appropriate duties as needed.
HIRING RATE (during probationary period): $40,491.73 Annually
MINIMUM PERMANENT RATE (after probationary period): $41,504.05 Annually

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school, or its equivalent plus at least two years' experience working with financial records.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual skills in English and Spanish.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Successful completion of JUSTICE training within six months from the date of hire and demonstrate proficiency in knowledge and use of the court computer system.
