The Accounting Supervisor/Manager is a key member of the division leadership team and functions in scale and scope equivalent to a traditional controller role. This role will be expected to lead the finance team to excellence.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Manage, develop, and lead the accountingdepartmentin the analysis and delivery of timely and accurate financial information.
• Lead the accounting departmentin the implementation and monitoring of internal controls and facilitate external audits.
• Work closely with management in the analysis of financial, operational, and key performance metrics to assist in the business decision making process.
• Engage with leadership in other departments to foster strong collaboration, transparency, and teamwork within the division.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to develop effective, efficient, and reproducible processes that produce performance results within the department.
• Utilize emotional intelligence to build strong communication, trust, and a productive work environment in the department.
• Demonstrate subject matter expertise in the areas of financial reporting, accounting procedures, and business analysis.
• Fosters an environment that promotes Nucor's culture and encourages continuous improvement

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Leadership/Supervisory Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA and/or MBA preferred
• Manufacturing experience
• Willing to relocate for future advancement opportunities
