We are searching for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist at

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist reports to the AP Expense Supervisor and provides support to the AP Expense accounting function via invoice processing (both manual invoices and automated invoices through SAP xSuite), matching invoices from MHC invoice imaging system to the SAP accounting system, and providing support to the S&F stores, Store Support Center, and vendor communities,

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned or required.

• Reviews invoices for proper authorization and account coding, according to established company policy/delegation of Authority Matrix for manual invoices
  
• Scans manual invoice documentation in MHC software and attaches support to the SAP payment record created
  
• Validates and approves electronic vendor invoices submitted through SAP xSuite AP workflow for vendor payment
  
• Researches and corrects payment errors and posts them to proper general ledger account
  
• Interacts with stores, vendors, and internal departments as needed to research payment issues and correct errors
  
• Provides vendor invoices and/or vendor payment audit support to external auditors, as needed
  
• Reviews, approves, and processes associate expense reimbursements through Certify software and provides data to Payroll for payment
  
• Assists other A/P Specialists with invoices processing when needed
  
• Performs special projects and other duties as assigned

OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Candidates must possess the following skills:

• Must have, at minimum, basic PC skills and ability to utilize Microsoft spreadsheet and word processing programs, as well as the ability to learn and understand a variety of other accounting system applications including Lawson, TM1, and MHC. 
  
• Must have the ability to translate data to accounting entries.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

One-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong PC skills and the ability to utilize spreadsheets are preferred.
