Job Summary

AES Testing Lab Coordinator is responsible for administrative support in the areas of educational resources, training, and support for academic units, faculty, and students.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Works closely with students and faculty in providing testing services, placement of student assistants, and lab management.
  • Provides administrative support for student testing services, placement of student assistants, lab materials, and lab management.
  • Acts as a liaison between professors, faculty, and registered students for test detail information and problem resolution.
  • Responsible for testing lab duties to include but not limited to scheduling Accommodation Support Professionals (ASPs) to proctor exams, reserving rooms, running reports, verifying any special instructions on the exam are reflected accurately on the routing sheet, calculating extended time for the exam, verifying completed exam matched the name and exam on the routing sheet, and data entry.
  • Administers test policies and perform basic IT troubleshooting relative to test launch and administration.
  • Assists in supervision of staff, customer interface, and works independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Performs duties and responsibilities which are typically focused and modest but could be multi-departmental.
General Responsibilities
  • Provides administrative support for student testing services, instructional consulting, placement of student teachers and/or teaching assistants, classroom materials, course administration, and/or a variety of other educational support services.
  • Trains and serves as an informational resource for student teachers in terms of pedagogical practice, classroom management, and federal regulations like FERPA and Title IX.
  • Provides information to key stakeholders including students, faculty, and staff; documents procedures and participates in the development of relevant procedures.
  • Maintains relationships between department and other academic units. Maintains and updates contacts lists as appropriate.
  • Acts as a liaison for faculty, staff, and students, responding to and resolving educational resources issues as needed.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required
  • High school diploma or GED
Preferred
  • Some college
WORK EXPERIENCE

Required
  • 2 years in related field
Preferred
  • 3 years of office environment experience with emphasis in compliance, customer service and problem solving

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Advertised Salary

Salary range: $36,000 - $40,900
