Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as an Administrative Assistant in Reno, NV might include the following:

  • Provide operational administrative support to the office that optimizes efficiency, organization, and client service.
  • Process and prepare tax organizers, engagement letters, assemble tax returns, extensions, and e-filings in accordance with firm processes and procedures.
  • Formats, copies and binds financial statements for partners to review and sign.
  • Manage and prioritize incoming workflow to meet all deadlines in a deadline-focused environment.
  • Perform a wide range of general administrative duties for the office including but not limited to typing, faxing, copying. Assist with planning department and office meetings including setup and cleanup.
  • Perform receptionist duties as needed. Answer and direct incoming calls and greet visitors.
  • Order and stock supplies as needed
  • Be open to new challenges and assist with special projects as requested.
  • Work as a positive member of the administrative team.

Who You Are
  • Experience in administrative support work, practices and administrative procedures, a plus!
  • Tech savvy with the ability and desire to embrace necessary software applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior organizational and follow-through skills with strong attention given to details and deadlines
  • Proven ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects while prioritizing, planning and organizing projects simultaneously
  • Ability to operate with a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision as well as work cooperatively with all levels of management and employees
  • Flexibility to work additional hours when needed during peak periods of the year
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
  • In addition to all this, you have a high school diploma with 3+ years' experience in administrative support, preferably in a professional service or accounting firm.
Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
