Who We Are

On May 1st 1989, Jon Ackley and a team of talented people pooled their combined 100 years' of experience and founded Dalmatian Fire, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN. On the same day, Rich also opened a branch office in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The second week of Dalmatian's operations, the company sold an $8,900 tenant finish sprinkler job in Cincinnati. Now, over 27 years later, we have produced in excess of $515 million in fire sprinkler revenue. In 1995, we opened our third branch office in Columbus, Ohio, and in 2005 we opened our fourth branch office in Louisville, Kentucky.

Job Summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking an Administrative Assistant in the Columbus, OH office. In this position you will be responsible for a wide range of customer service and administrative duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
• Answer telephone, screen and direct calls
• Provide information to callers or take and relay messages, as needed
• Greet persons entering organization and direct to correct destination
• Deal with queries from the public and customers
• Provide general administrative and clerical support
• Receive and sort mail and deliveries
• Maintain appointment schedule as requested to know who is coming and when
• Other duties assigned

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional phone etiquette
• Possess an upbeat, positive, and enthusiastic attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Be a confident self-starter who works well independently and team player as well
