Admission Assistant

Job Description
The Office of Admission seeks an Admissions Assistant for the 2024-2025 academic year. This one-year contracted position plays a key role in supporting our campus opportunities for prospective students and their families.

Essential Duties Summary

• Daily office coverage, including main office phone and email

• Assisting with campus events and daily tour schedules

• Providing campus tours when needed, particularly over the summer

• Serving as an application reader and on admissions committees

• Other responsibilities as needed

This is a one-year appointment, running from June 3 through May 31 of the following year. Most of the work is based on campus; frequent remote workdays are generally not part of this position.



Required Qualifications

• A recently completed BA from Sarah Lawrence College; in some cases, a BA from a similar institution may be considered

• Excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking one-on-one and to groups

• Ability to provide campus tours, particularly over the summer and between semesters, drawing upon recent experiences as a student

• Must adhere to confidentiality in a number of capacities, concerning student information as well as prospective student information
