Location: Kent, WA
Description: Our client is currently seeking a Aerospace Material Handler II for a 6+ month contract position in Kent, WA.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Coordination with all applicable departments to ensure on-time delivery of raw material, parts, consumables and tooling to and from the appropriate work centers
• Enforce completion of work center buyoffs prior to moving hardware to the next work center
• Ensure hardware and equipment are properly staged for inter-plant transportation/movement
• Cross-reference and confirm part quantity, part number, serial number, labeling and routing sheet persist with hardware throughout plant movements
• Ensure inventory movements are properly transacted and accurate
• Contribute to zero-defect philosophy by escalating observed non-conformance or design/manufacturing issues that deviate from the nominal process
• Support inventory deviation investigations found within work centers
• Participate in production meetings to communicate part status information to management/leadership
• Ensure smooth and efficient process flow by contributing to development/refinement of queuing software

Qualifications:

• Minimum of high school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. unassisted
• Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position (Standard steps in a given work day ~ 20,000)
• Willingness to utilize powered lifting equipment, jib, crane or hoists
• Must be open to working all required shift hours, including overtime and weekends, as needed
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Desired:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
• Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc)
• Prior experience within the aerospace, automotive, semiconductor, or electronic industries
• Experience in organizing files and documents
• Prior transactional experience in Warehousing or Inventory (PO Receipts, Inventory movements, Inventory issue/kitting, shipping)
