To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable leader to join our team as the Manager of Resource Planning and Analysis. This job is a member of the Planning & Support Department within the Ground Handling Division. The Manager role will be responsible for leading a team that oversees the development, maintenance, forecasting, and ongoing analysis of various headcount and resource models for Piedmont Ground Handling (PGH) operations in addition to special projects as assigned. The primary function of this role is to lead our resource planning team through general team member support, guidance on effective headcount forecasting techniques, and leading communication efforts of the results of team analysis and team strategies with department leadership. This position will report to the Director of Resource Allocation.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and assist with leadership teams to ensure proper station resource levels are planned
  • Lead discussions on model adjustment plans and conduct comparative analysis
  • Review ongoing analysis generated by the team for timeliness and accuracy
  • Analyze and present data through reports that aid decision making
  • Collaborate with other support teams to further systems integration and reporting
  • Collaborate with leadership to guide development of dashboards using Power BI desktop
  • Collaborate with other organizations within American Airlines Group to ensure best business practices
  • Work with users and team members at all levels for performance improvement and suggestions
  • Actively participate in our culture of continuous development and innovation by contributing ideas for new features and functionality
  • Support the team with ongoing training and development needs

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive, and Teams skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated aptitude for independent learning, logical analysis, problem identification, and problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Management Systems, or equivalent field
  • Previous experience with airline operations staff forecasting
  • Inform GS Real Time Software or equivalent airline staff modeling software
  • Proficiency in Airline Standard Schedules Information Manual (SSIM) schedule formatting
  • Previous airline ground operations experience
  • Previous operations staff schedule development
  • Previous industrial engineering or process improvement experience
  • Six-Sigma certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Bi or Tableau visualization development
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Automate and Desktop/Web Flow development

Work Environment:
  • Standard office environment, use of computers and other office equipment
  • Some travel is required

Physical Requirements:
  • Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
