Job Description Summary:
The Threat Finance & Human Exploitation team is seeking a highly talented, self-motivated, and analytical individual to support the Global Investigations program. This position will be primarily responsible for collecting, analyzing, and reporting information to support the institution's ability to detect, deter, mitigate, and report money laundering and other financially enabled crimes. This role will analyze open source intelligence ("OSINT"), reports on global events, information from external partners and internal data to identify warnings, indicators, and key trends in order to provide timely, data driven reporting and recommendations to key internal leaders and stakeholders.

As an OSINT Analyst, it will be critical for you to stay current with external patterns, trends and methods in the open source investigation and public information collection space. This role also requires a self-starter with the ability to think critically and strategically, seeing beyond the initial facts presented and reviewing information thoroughly and in a highly organized manner to drive the matter to successful conclusion. Additionally, the candidate should have the ability to operate independently, manage multiple competing priorities with difficult deadlines, and exhibit a sense of urgency when necessary.

Job Description:

Position Responsibilities:
  • Conduct open source intelligence collection and analysis of relevant trends and events to provide timely, comprehensive, and customized intelligence products to key decision makers and to support ongoing investigative efforts;
  • Work with large data sets leveraging SQL to strengthen cross functional investigations into internal and external threats;
  • Deliver verbal and written briefings to partner departments and key leaders regarding analytical products and current/emerging threats and trends;
  • Support the Global Investigations team by conducting post-incident analysis of significant events and providing data-driven recommendations for the identification and prevention of future incidents;
  • Other related tasks as required.

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Criminal Justice, Journalism or a comparable field or equivalent work experience;
  • 2+ years investigating complex financial or cybercrime, ethical and compliance violations, conflicts of interest, or internal and external threat.actors; and/or
  • 2+ years Intelligence Analysis or Law Enforcement experience with relation to financial crimes;
  • (Preferred) 2+ years technical experience querying large data sets for investigations and/or analysis;
  • Strong knowledge of intelligence collection, analysis, and social media ecosystems;
  • Strong writing skills with ability to both write persuasively and convey complex matters in clear and simple written form;
  • Proven knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions regulations and guidance such as the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act;
  • Advanced data query and analysis skills (SQL, SAS, Teradata, Hadoop, etc.);
  • CAMS designation a plus.

  • Must display a high level of professional judgment, commitment, integrity, teamwork, and customer service;
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence teams;
  • Results oriented with the ability to identify the long-term effects of decisions/solutions on customers and the business;
  • Proficient with data visualization and intelligence analysis tools (i2, Maltego, Palantir, Dataminr, etc) a plus;
  • Proficient in the use of a personal computer and its applications, including Windows and Windows based applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc).
