Overview

The Analytics analyst serves as a liaison among finance, IT, and Operations to understand the financial operations for each business organization. Specifically, the finance business analyst is responsible analyzing the financial data process from source system to the ledger and making recommendations for additional controls, greater transparency of data, and straight-through processing. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.

Responsibilities

  • The analyst collaborates with department heads from various business units to coordinate blending data from multiple sources for unified reporting, and looks to identify cross-functional opportunities to either simplify, or improve, current processes
  • The analyst will need to learn business processes and understand relevant data; Analyst should be adept and evaluating and pivoting very large data sets, with an ability to spot trends and present business insights
  • Analyst will prepare deliverables for, and collaborate with, senior leaders and cross-functional teams
  • Work with IT resources to test and validate ETL processes, report building, process automation, and dashboard development


Qualifications

  • Prior experience in reporting and data visualization solutions, consulting or business analysis.
  • Experience with Office particularly Excel, Visio, Power BI, and SharePoint.
  • Experience using SQL with BI software suites
  • BA or Associates degree
  • 5+ years insurance experience, preferably with analytical responsibilities


Preferred:
  • Experience with financial reporting solutions, Oracle Cloud ERP, Hyperion, Collibra

Experience building measures in DAX
