This role is on Team Mercury - DaVita's integrated Marketing and Communications team - where the Analytics Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing optimized business intelligence solutions to support reporting, analytics, and the generation of actionable insights for the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and build efficient 'big data' architecture solutions for managing the flow of data, while keeping in mind best practices for data storage, ETL blending and processing, and the delivery of timely, accurate, and insightful reporting.
Develop, own, and improve on the processes of how Mercury's analytic team accesses data from source systems, including API integrations, SQL queries, Alteryx connections, spreadsheets, and more.
Maintain a high degree of data quality and integrity throughout data flows, through attention to detail, and use of data validation.
Drive the effort to automate and optimize workflows - from accessing and collecting data, through ETL processing and data wrangling, all the way to final reporting. Both in the current environment we're operating in, and in environments we can transition to as part of the continuing evolution of analytics.
Actively collaborate with Mercury analysts and/or internal stakeholders, with the goal of delivering impactful analytics and insights.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (e.g. Advanced Analytic team, Interactive team), to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and capabilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Analytics
Proficiency with SQL and Python required
Experience with Analytics Platforms (e.g. Tableau, Looker, Alteryx) preferred
Experience with ETL processes/tools (e.g AWS Lambda, Apache Spark, Stitch) required
Experience working within Cloud Environments (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) highly preferred and bonus points for familiarity with developing and automating APIs
Experience with Google Analytics is a plus
Experience
2-4 years of experience with data and business analytics, including working with large datasets, merging disparate datasets, transforming and cleansing data, and report development and maintenance.
BS/BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a knack for translating highly technical data, concepts, and processes, into simplified stories and actionable insights to drive business decisions
A desire to explore and grow in the exciting niche of applying analytics within a data driven Marketing and Communications team
Strong influencing and conflict resolution skills; track record of successful stakeholder relationship development and ability to quickly build credibility and gain the confidence of individuals at all levels
Strong project management skills, including planning, communication, relationship building and time management
A highly organized and self-driven individual with a high sense of accountability and a bias towards getting things done

Position Base Range: $68,400 - $100,400
Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience and may fall outside of the range shown.
