Position Overview
This position is responsible for the maintenance and repairs to company fleet; both equipment and trucks.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
• Responsible for own personal safety at all times; as well as maintain the highest standard of safety and quality in all aspects of the job.
• Be able to ingress and egress various types of equipment by navigating 2 steps with grab bars present
• Leads weekly toolbox talks or assigns someone to do so
• Monitor daily shop inspections
• Monitors and orders supply for shop inventory
• Schedule repairs for mechanics on a daily basis
• Dispatches mechanics for road calls
• Schedule with vendors for outside repairs
• Assist with part ordering and research
• Assist Equipment manager as needed
• Communicates with all departments on down units or scheduling units for repairs
• Regular and timely attendance
Education/Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years' experience or certificate from an accredited technical school
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
• Must pass a drug screen, criminal background check, and child abuse clearance check
• Must have a current Driver's License and a reliable source of transportation
• Class 7 dot inspection license preferred
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is helpful
• Basic computer skills are needed
• Experience with diagnostic tools
• Welding experience preferred
• Ability to operate various pieces of equipment to test or make necessary repairs
General Requirements
• Mobility to attend various meetings and events at offsite locations
• Hours are extended throughout the year to include nights and weekends when necessary
• Travel may be required
