CBIZ is seeking to fill an Application Developer position in our Independence, OH office. This associate will perform technical and analytical duties in the development and support of applications and integrations within our environment in a variety of facets throughout the systems development lifecycle.
This position will be part of the Corporate IT Application and Data Services team, which is responsible for managing a portfolio of applications. We work closely with our business teams to provide solutions to complex business problems, create operational efficiencies, and business analytics. We have a terrific work environment and also offer the opportunity to work remotely two days per week.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

  • Design, develop, implement and support custom .NET/ Azure Applications.
  • Design, develop, implement and support system integrations with custom and third party products.
  • Database support and development of views, functions, and stored procedures.
  • Coordinate, plan and participate in the execution of assigned projects.
  • Participate in any number of the aspects of a common systems development lifecycle. (Analysis, Requirements, Development, Testing, Deployment, and Maintenance)
  • Prepare and maintain system and process documentation.
  • Manage a workload of project specific and operational support tasks.
  • Interact with customer and delivery teams focused on solving mission-critical business and technology problems and providing solutions.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree (MIS, IT or related field preferred)
  • Minimum of 3+ years of relevant IT work experience.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with individuals at all levels of technical knowledge.
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented with the ability to work independently and as a part of project teams.
  • Skill in applying knowledge and techniques to solve problems.
  • Strong knowledge of software and data security principles and practices.
  • Excellent arithmetic and logic skills.
  • Knowledge of financial concepts.
Required Experience
  • Microsoft .NET Development(C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, MVC)
  • Azure Cloud Applications
  • Azure services SDKs, ASP.NET Core Web Applications/ Web API
  • Microsoft Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code
  • Service Oriented Architecture Concepts
  • Web Development (HTML5, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS3)
  • SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) / SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
  • Database design and development - MS SQL Server/ T-SQL
  • Experience with Data Analysis Tools
Preferred Experience
  • Basic understanding of agility-based software development methodology and process.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, and build/ release pipelines)
  • Angular
  • Azure Cloud Infrastructure
  • Implementation of Cloud Migrations, and API Management
  • PowerBI reporting experience
  • Integration with external Applications like Oracle Fusion, Salesforce, HR/Finance applications etc.
