Job Description:

The National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) has an exciting opportunity for an Application Support Intern with the Filing Solutions Group. If you are a multi-tasker with excellent communication and customer service skills, and have a technical background, this is the perfect internship for you! This opportunity is based out of Kansas City, Missouri. This is a hybrid-remote position. Candidates must live within 100 miles of the KC office and attend team and company meetings as scheduled by the manager.

Responsibilities include:

• Accurately responds to customer questions in JIRA and voicemail for the SERFF, OPTins, AVS, STS, VISION, InsData systems.
  
• Assists customers by providing details for how to use the applications, diagnose their problem, provide a resolution, and facilitate the correction.
  
• Determines the level of a customer issue and escalates to the Tier 2 team when necessary.
  
• Assists customers in obtaining account and invoice access for Account Manager, and processing credits in Account Manager or SharePoint.
  
• Runs Select SQL queries to provide data to the Tier 2 team or directly to states.
  
• Regularly uses Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook in daily functions of the business.
  

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in MS Word, MS Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  
• Must have strong grammar and proofreading skills.
  
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented to produce high quality, accurate work the first time.
  
• Must have ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
  

• Maintains professional, courteous, congenial, and effective relationships with all team members.
  
• Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the Association.
  
• Displays a polite, team player, professional attitude.
  
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours.
  
• Monday-Friday availability is a plus.
  

Compensation:

$16.00 per hour

This internship is expected to last between 6-9 months and will continue through the academic semester.
