About this opportunity:

The Area Reliability Inspector is an independent contributor that reports to the Inspection Manager. The Area Reliability Inspector oversees certified contract inspectors and NDE technicians working in the assigned area of responsibility.

What you'll do:

  • Responsible for the mechanical integrity program of the assigned area of the plant. This includes the piping and vessel inspection, pressure relieving devices and the associated record keeping.
  • Performing inspections safely in various atmospheric conditions.
  • Writing thorough and comprehensive reports, making corrective recommendations, and communicating results.
  • Manages inspection contractors in the assigned area to support the Mechanical Integrity (MI) program.
  • Keeps company inspection records updated on a timely and accurate basis.
  • Makes informed integrity decisions based on asset risk.
  • Supports turnaround planning and execution phases of periodic turnarounds.
  • Works with area business team to ensure codes, standards, and procedures are followed for the inspection program.
Who you are:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • American Petroleum Institute (API) 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector Certificate
  • American Petroleum Institute (API) 570 Piping Inspector Certificate
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of refinery experience related to piping and equipment inspection.
  • Previous experience in Refinery Turnaround(s)
  • Have a strong working knowledge of oil and gas industry codes, standards, and jurisdictional regulations (ASME, API, National Board)
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
