General Description / Primary Purpose:

  • The University of North Florida, Department of Health Administration invites applications for a 9-month Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Health Administration programs (Master of Science in Health Informatics) to start in Fall 2024.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching experience in health information technology, health or clinical informatics, data science, information science is preferred.
  • Teaching in the undergraduate and graduate Health Administration programs, specifically the graduate program in Health Informatics
  • Conducting research and publishing in an area of expertise.
  • Participating in the academic life of the school (e.g., attending faculty meetings, participating in curriculum review/development, assessment of student learning, etc.) as well as serving on various committees as appropriate in the department, college, and university.
  • External service expectations include working with appropriate academic disciplinary bodies and professional organizations.

Faculty Position Required Qualifications:

An earned doctorate in Health Informatics, Health Administration, Health Services or closely related discipline from an accredited institution conferred no later than August 2024 is required. Candidates must possess a proven record of excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, and commitment to program service.A pre-employment background check is performed on candidates selected for employment.
