This is a full time, tenure-track, on campus faculty position with administrative oversight of graduate and online undergraduate programs in Business. This position reports to the Dean of the School of Business and the Vice President of Academic Affairs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Serve as the program director for the online Master of Business Administration: Approve all curriculum including syllabi, textbooks, and course shells for the program. Evaluate curriculum and initiate revisions and updates as necessary to maintain the relevance, consistency and high educational quality of the online Master of Business Administration program; Recommend course offerings and appropriate instructors to the Dean of the School of Business; Establish and monitor performance standards for assigned program faculty; Recruit and recommend for hire all adjunct faculty for program specific online courses to the Dean of the School of Business; Teach up to 1 graduate online MBA course per semester (as credentialed to teach); Responsible for the annual evaluation of program data; and Serve on the Graduate School Academic Affairs Committee.

Coordinate the online undergraduate programs in Business: Approve all related syllabi, textbooks, and course shells for the programs. Evaluate curriculum and initiate revisions and updates as necessary to maintain the relevance, consistency and high educational quality of the online Business programs; Recommend course offerings and appropriate instructors to the Dean of the School of Business; Establish and monitor performance standards for assigned program faculty; Recruit and recommend for hire all adjunct faculty for program specific online courses to the Dean of the School of Business; Responsible for the annual evaluation of program data; and Serve on the Graduate School Academic Affairs Committee. Teach 1-3 undergraduate on-campus business-related courses per semester including, but not limited to, operations, marketing, finance, accounting, management, strategy, data analytics, and other business-related disciplines (as credentialed to teach); Advise students in business majors; Assist in assessing the quality of the in-person undergraduate program and recommend revisions accordingly; Stay abreast of scholarly developments in specific and relevant fields as well as current teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and assessment; Contribute to the field of business, management, and leadership and/or the profession of college-level teaching; Support the mission, goals and objectives of Crown College; and engage in general faculty responsibilities that include: participation in department and faculty meetings, Care of students, Crown College committee assignments, and at least 10 hours of schedule office hours per week to be available to students. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Demonstrated experience and expertise teaching Business courses at the college level at both the undergraduate and graduate level and both in-person and on-line formats. Strong interpersonal skills and positive energy regarding professional education. Established ability to work effectively as a team member. Demonstrate excellence in spoken, written and electronic communication skills. Ability to integrate collegiate teaching and the Christian faith. Experience evaluating students' work and reporting results promptly. Hands-on experience in the business field itself through previous work and/or consulting experience and external business relationship preferred Ability and willingness to stay abreast of the fast-changing business environment in order to maintain relevancy in teaching business courses to college-level students

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Terminal degree in Business or related field
  • Demonstrated teaching effectiveness
  • Experience using computer technology in the teaching/learning process
  • Demonstrated curricular designing

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of full-time teaching, especially in the context of Christian higher education Experience developing and teaching online courses Familiarity and/or experience with accreditation, standards and assessments Experience advising Active participation in professional organizations
