Job Summary
Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the Central Arizona College NJCAA Division I athletic program including recruiting and supervision of student-athletes, coordinating and supervising practices, educational efforts of student-athletes, overseeing travel, and the overall daily operations of the sports program.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Assist the head coach in developing, managing, and directing the successful athletic program.
Assist the head coach with all aspects of the team and team development including training, competing, and scheduling. Assist with the recruitment and enrollment student-athletes. Organize and maintain accurate inventory of athletic equipment and uniforms.Assist head coaches in coordinate travel arrangements including hotel reservations, booking transportation, organizing team meals, and completing expense reports if needed. Work cooperatively with campus representatives outside the Sports and Fitness Division and Athletic Department to develop and sustain positive experiences academically and socially for student-athletes.Assist in maintaining facilities (i.e. field, gym, fitness center) this includes pre-game setup, post-game clean up and general appearance of the facility.Assist in educational efforts of student-athletes. Monitor academic progress of student-athletes this includes but not limited to monitoring study halls, grade checks, registration, retention, graduation, and transferring.Manage and update team social media and website in accordance with college social media policy. Work cooperatively with the Athletic Director and Head Coach to perform other duties as assigned. May teach up to three (3) credits as part of assigned duties each semester.Ensuring compliance and have working knowledge of Title IX and Clery Act. This includes serving as a Clery Campus Authority and being responsible for CAC incident reports involving but not limited to injuries, misconduct, behavioral. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE: One (1) year related experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of sport specific coaching, specifically at the collegiate level.Ability to apply a variety of fundraising techniques and strategiesDetailed knowledge, understanding, and ability to apply NJCAA rules and regulationsAbility to design, implement, and sustain athlete recruitment initiatives and restrictionsKnowledge of federal and state laws, rules, and regulations regarding area of practice.Skill in counseling students on College policies and proceduresEffective communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with staff, community leaders, faculty, students, and the public. Skill working in a diverse multi-ethnic, multi-cultural populationAbility to analyze situations, develop solutions, and make independent decisions based on established guidelines.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with College staff, faculty, administrators, and outside contractors. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Duties performed causes fatigue of eyes, fingers, or other faculties due to long periods of standing, sitting, and/or repetitive motion. Duties require continuous effort in working with light to moderate (10 to 30lbs and, on occasion, over 30 lbs.) materials producing some body fatigue.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Job is performed in general office and on sport specific playing surface with frequent distractions such as noise, interruptions, or congested work areas with exposure to some disagreeable elements. Early morning, evening, and weekend hours required with some travel.
