This position will be based in New York, NY.

What you will be doing:

The Assistant Creative Producer is responsible for assisting with the planning and production of all OXO photo shoots and the management of all existing and new digital assets.

The Assistant Creative Producer reports to the Creative Producer and works collaboratively to ensure that all production and post-production processes are executed accurately and efficiently.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working on photo shoots, have a clear understanding of set etiquette and terminology, and have experience with storage and management of digital assets.

Will also have outstanding organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, the ability to lead multiple tasks and prioritize them as necessary. Will be a forward thinker, with the ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently.


  • Project Management and Production of Imagery

  • Assist the Creative Producer in the planning, production and execution of all OXO photography across packaging, e-commerce, digital marketing, social media, point of purchase, signage, sales collateral

  • Attend all project kick offs and maintain detailed meeting notes

  • Create and populate pre-production books, build shot lists, and present to Creative Producer for review

  • Assist the Creative Producer with photo shoot logistics, call sheet development, vendor communication and the photo retouching schedule

  • Assist the Creative Producer with acquiring estimates and negotiating costs

  • Schedule and attend all pre-production meetings

  • Procure photo ready product samples from product teams, the stockroom and/or warehouse in preparation for each photo shoot

  • Ensure the photo studio, products and props are organized prior to and at the end of each photo shoot

  • Attend all photo shoots, providing real-time support and information to the photographers and stylists, as needed

  • Collaborate with retouching/post-production team to ensure all final assets are processed accurately

  • Lead the uploading of all files to the digital asset management platforms

  • Run and maintain the organization of all photo project folders on the server

  • Reconcile files (crop, re-size, rename, delete dupes, etc,) as needed

  • Intake, vet and evaluate all imagery requests from cross-functional and international teams, working with the Creative Producer to identify priority level and scheduling next steps accordingly

  • Facilitate clear communication with internal and external teams to set expectations for all requests and deliverables

  • Collaborate closely with sales to ensure all assets required for a product launch are available, company-wide

  • Handle all image and contact sheet requests from brand design, sales, marketing and international markets

  • Facilitate and coordinate day-to-day activities in the studio

  • Maintain and update the internal prop library

  • Assist the Creative Producer with any ad hoc requests or special projects

  • Participate in a weekly scheduling meeting with the Project Management team

  • Coordinate with photographer and photo assistant to maintain inventory and replenish supplies as needed

  • Embrace and follow all established photography processes

  • Contribute recommendations to optimize efficiencies

  • Maintain a leadership mindset in all interactions and collaborations

  • Demonstrate strong prioritization skills, including the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities with conflicting deadlines

  • Maintain a positive attitude with the understanding that clear, concise, timely communication is of the utmost importance in building working relationships

  • Demonstrate the capacity to identify potential and/or existing problems or risks, and propose creative, forward-thinking solutions


Skills needed to be successful in this role:

  • Familiarity with project management software tools (Basecamp, Smartsheets, etc)


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4 years college at an accredited institution

  • 1+ years working experience with a strong understanding of photography and photo production

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Office 365, Google Apps

  • Experience with Capture One a plus

  • Experience using a Mac platform and knowledge of image archiving and digital file formats

  • Knowledge of Microsoft PPT, Word, Excel

  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
