Job Summary

This position provides professional support and solves straightforward problems in the implementation and administration of admissions strategies, policies, and procedures. Conducts interviews and applicant evaluations. Coordinates the admissions of students independently or with guidance from others.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and streamlines operational communications, work streams, and calendars, in collaboration with Marketing, Admissions, and other business units.
  • Assesses, develops, and maintains system processes as needed. Anticipates issues/challenges and helps establish best-in-class workflows.
  • Develops operational efficiencies within CRM systems and keeps related processes up-to-date. Uses knowledge of Slate to increase office efficiency and productivity.
  • Monitors applicant status and ensures that all required application documentation is received within established deadlines.
  • Processes admission applications, transcripts, test scores, and English proficiency exams for applicant; evaluates, verifies, and determines eligibility.
  • Responds timely and efficiently to prospect, applicant, and student operational and technical-related emails.
  • Ensures the integrity and accuracy of all data related to student admissions, scholarship, and enrollment within all relevant application management systems.
  • Recruits and/or evaluates applicants for admission by interviewing, reading applications and summarizing evaluations. Completes these tasks independently or with some guidance and instruction from others.
  • Participates in special projects such as developing marketing materials, monitoring budgets and recruiting underrepresented groups with moderate/high levels of authority.
  • Performs other related work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:
Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:
  • Coursework in computer science.

Experience:
  • At least one year of related experience in system administration/higher education.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CRM databases.
  • Desire to learn coding in SQL, Javascript, XSLT, and HTML.

Preferred Competencies
  • Some knowledge of how technical systems work and connect, as well as innate curiosity for problem solving.
  • Exceptional communications skills.
  • Professional demeanor, discretion, and a customer service-oriented approach to the job.
  • Superior organizational skills.
  • Handle multiple detailed priorities/projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines with frequent interruptions.

Working Conditions
  • This position is currently expected to work a minimum three days per week in the office.
