Job Summary:

The Assistant HRIS Director is responsible for driving and enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the Ceridian Dayforce HCM platform for the Agency, in support of Human Resources administration and in alignment with Agency strategic objectives. Through the Ceridian Dayforce product, the incumbent will continually provide solutions to potential changes in business practices to meet and enhance strategic goals. This is a hands-on position that will require in-depth knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce.

We are searching for a strategic professional who can understand and envision new and improved business processes utilizing Ceridian Dayforce solutions to streamline operations and create efficiency gains. In consultation with the HRIS Director, this position will develop relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across all functional areas (e.g., Programs, HR, Payroll, Accounting, Finance, IT, Operations, etc.) to maintain and develop processes that will support operations and an efficient employee experience. The position will support Ceridian Dayforce configuration for key work streams aligned to respective owners across HR and other functional areas.

This position is exempt from overtime.

Essential Functions of Position:

• Serve as a subject matter expert HCM platform functionality including reporting enhancements, updates, access, user training strategy and overall platform management.

• Lead and coordinate efforts in reviewing, testing, and implementing HCM system configuration changes, upgrades, patches or HR systems configuration projects and enhancements; collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate application of such changes and document processes, procedures, and testing results accordingly.

• Develop and maintain queries and reports (standard, scheduled and/or ad hoc) utilizing HCM standard and advanced reporting platforms to support business processes and to provide necessary HR data analytics.

• Work closely with stakeholders to achieve goals associated with organizational strategic objectives, leveraging system functionality wherever possible to build efficient and effective processes.

• Ensure that all emerging requirements are documented and architected in compliance with federal & state laws and system capabilities, and in support of all Agency goals and priorities.

• Work effectively as a member of the Human Resources team, providing input on service needs. Provides support for all staff within HR who interface with Bay Cove systems. .

• Identify, document, communicate and address issues as they arise with the system(s), serving as resident expert on HRIS functions and capabilities. Serves as liaison between agency and external vendors.

• Stay abreast of technological and regulatory changes affecting areas of responsibility.

• Create end-to-end test plans; executing the plans and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met, and that the solution works as expected, including defining and developing test scenarios and identifying required test scripts.

• Assist in resolving user how-to questions, and develop training documentation as necessary to minimize re-occurrences of user error and provide periodic training for end user.

• As a leader, the Assistant HRIS Director will be responsible for helping team members think through challenges, coordinating work among team members, and modeling Bay Cove's core values.

• Works with Ceridian to manage tickets, troubleshoot issues, and monitors the Ceridian invoice.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Information Systems and Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Three or more years of experience configuring and supporting all aspects of Ceridian Dayforce HCM. Healthcare, Large Not-for-Profit, or Higher Education experience preferred..

• Three or more years of direct functional experience with at least two of the following Ceridian Dayforce modules: Benefits, Time, Compensation, Performance,Talent, Learning, Payroll, and Reporting.

• Three or more years of team management experience.

• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with and through others to resolve issues.

• Strong work ethic and an intellectual curiosity.

• Strong prioritization and project management skills.

• Ability to develop and identify gaps in business requirements and ask the right questions to fill in gaps.

• Solid analytical and trouble-shooting skills, strong partnering/relationship building skills.

• Self-motivated and well-adapted to meet deadlines with speed, accuracy, and a professional attitude.

• Flexibility and adaptability to continuous change

• Identify and analyze business needs and requirements, being able to translate technical requirements into business appropriate terminology and vice versa.

• Ability to think strategically and anticipate potential challenges before they occur or escalate

Vaccine Mandate Policy

All new employees, interns, and volunteers will be required to be fully vaccinated (14 days beyond last shot of Pfizer or Moderna or 14 days beyond receiving a Johnson and Johnson vaccine), or have received the first shot in a two-dose vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) with an appointment scheduled for the second dose. A 2nd dose must be received within six weeks of hire.
