CONTINUING TRACK FACULTY POSITION IN ENTREPRENEURIAL LEADERSHIP
UNIVERSITY OF DELAWARE
NEWARK, DELAWARE

The Department of Business Administration and Horn Entrepreneurship at the University of Delaware invite applications for a continuing track Assistant Professor. Candidates for the position must hold a PhD in entrepreneurship, leadership, business, or a relevant discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with long-term interests pertaining to individual and/or entrepreneurial leadership; direct entrepreneurship or intrapreneurship experience; and demonstrated excellence in teaching leadership and entrepreneurship using experiential pedagogy. The anticipated workload split for the position will emphasize teaching (i.e., a 2/3 annual course load). It will also include leadership of the Siegfried Initiative for Entrepreneurial Leadership as well as dedicated time and funding support to maintain an active research and publishing program. The ideal candidate(s) will join a dynamic, entrepreneurial team that has gained national and international recognition for excellence in its youth, social entrepreneurship, undergraduate education, and technology commercialization programming.

We are seeking a candidate who understands, and has the potential to improve upon, best practices for leadership and entrepreneurship education, including an emphasis on evidence-based insights/practices, experiential learning, and external engagement. We are also seeking an individual who is comfortable working at the fuzzy front end of the innovation process, partnering across disciplines and spanning the boundaries between the University and the broader community.

As a continuing track faculty member, the candidate will have the opportunity to gain promotion, take sabbatical leave and enjoy the security of a multi-year appointment. The candidate will also have the unique opportunity to serve as Faculty Director for the Siegfried Initiative, which aims to promote individual freedom and free enterprise through high impact leadership offerings. Qualified candidates should be interested in establishing a long-term career at the University of Delaware. The anticipated start date for the position is Sept 1, 2023. Applications will be reviewed beginning February 1 and accepted until the position is filled.
