Assistant Professor of German, specialization open

 

The Department of Languages and Literatures at Oklahoma State University seeks applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of German. Specialization is open. In addition to maintaining an active research agenda, this person will be expected to teach a wide range of undergraduate classes, including elementary and intermediate language, advanced language, culture, literature, and fourth-year seminars on selected topics, and also coordinate and develop the German program. The successful candidate should be willing to teach from a multicultural perspective and be willing to mentor all groups of students. Ph. D. in hand by the time of appointment in August 2024. The Department of Languages and Literatures is home to undergraduate programs in 10 languages. Oklahoma State University is a comprehensive flagship, land-grant, research institution with an enrollment of approximately 25,000 students at the main campus in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
