The Assistant Vice President, Marketing Manager will drive Eastern's awareness, familiarity and consideration set with brand and product advertising and marketing campaigns via omnichannel strategies including but not limited to broadcast, radio, display, social media, paid search, email, and web. This role, reporting to the Vice President of Brand Activation, Creative Services and Events, is responsible for the day-to-day management and execution of advertising and marketing strategies and programs for our brand and product/services in support of Eastern Bank's overall sales and financial goals. This role will work with key internal partners including Product Delivery, Business & Commercial Lending, Retail, Compliance, Legal, Human Resources, the Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation, as well as closely with our Advertising and Media agencies of record.

Candidate is expected to project manage multiple omni-channel brand and product campaigns and projects throughout the year with direct responsibility for channels listed above, in partnership with Vice President- Brand Activation, Creative Services and Events, as well as with agency partners and internal partners. This individual is also responsible for the management of all Eastern local Sponsorships, working with community and charitable partners to create experiences, as well as support the Partners for Good program (with David Ortiz and Doug Flutie). The Assistant Vice President, Marketing Manager, also oversees and manages in-branch merchandising, digital screens throughout the enterprise, and other marketing channels as needed.

This role requires both creative and analytical thinking, so the need for problem-solving abilities to evaluate issues and identify the best solutions is mandatory. The incumbent will need to have an ability to adapt quickly to change with a high degree of independent decision making with minimal supervision, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders at one time.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years' experience in Consumer and B2B marketing role, corporate or agency.
  • Experience in Financial Services marketing is highly preferred but not mandatory

Skills/Knowledge
  • Candidate should have experience working with a wide variety of marketing channels, with emphasis in digital marketing
  • Strong project management skills. Collaborative; takes initiative; holistic, big-picture thinker. Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
  • Brand innovator: enjoys thinking outside the box and brings forth ideas succinctly.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • An ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment while juggling multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
