WHAT YOU WILL DO AT SAPUTO

The Assistant Warehouse Supervisor is an integral part of the leadership team. This position is responsible for leading the effort at maintaining a high level of efficiency and productivity in warehouse operations. The assistant supervisor will assign tasks to employees to ensure a high level of productivity. This person must be able to interact positively with all team members! This person should act as a role model and set the example for the team by actively participating in the task at hand. In addition, this individual must demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills as well as a full understanding of the entire process for which they are responsible.

• Ensure housekeeping and GMP's are maintained at the highest level in the area that they are responsible for
• Complete GMP inspections as required.
• Ensure their area of responsibility operates at a high level of efficiency, overseeing general operations and providing guidance and technical assistance as necessary.
• Verify all required documentation is complete and accurate.
• Ensure employees maintain productivity during slower periods or interruptions.
• Keep operators informed of production and system status.
• Complete DSC tours as needed or required.
• Provide new hire operator training support. Document training and training follow-up.
• Review SOP's and Procedures to ensure they are up to date and being followed.
• Promote safety programs and policies. Lead by example and insure that employees are working in a safe manner.
• Trains and instructs employees regarding operations and equipment standards and processes.
• Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo values.
• Perform cycle counts in warehouse.
• Responsible for cleanliness and organization in the warehouse and rack systems.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

WHO IS RIGHT FOR THE ROLE

• HSD/GED; A minimum of 3-years' experience in a food manufacturing, dairy food manufacturing or warehousing environment preferred.
• Possess the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, SAP and computer-based applications.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
• Ability to select, lead, coach, influence, motivate, develop, engage and retain a team of employees.
• Ability to understand cost containment and continuous improvement principles.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends in support of plant operations.
