About the Position:

This role is an on-campus, in-person position.

The Associate Director of Admissions and Recruiting is responsible for administering the undergraduate and graduate admission process within Meadows for specific divisions and programs, primarily, in art, art history, and film. Works with the undergraduate and graduate recruiting team and divisions to effectively recruit top students to Meadows programs. Annually updates portfolio submission /confirmation content (in Slate CRM and on website). Assists faculty in the efficient use of technology and data systems during the admission process and provides information and data used in admission dashboards, annual Census, annual Admission Survey and ad hoc data as required. This position is integral to the function of the Meadows Admission and Financial Aid operation, and the job duties directly impact the enrollment of the Meadows School.

Essential Functions:

  • Administers and processes student admissions for Meadows graduate and undergraduate programs, primarily art, art history, and film, including: responding to prospective student inquiries; managing a proactive and effective communication flow for prospects/ applicants/admits/matriculants and coordinating the review process by departments and Associate Dean for Students.
  • Presents information sessions about Meadows academic programs.
  • Works with divisions and graduate/undergraduate recruiting team for Meadows to develop and implement strategies to recruit and admit top students in each area assigned.
  • Facilitates efficient use by faculty of technology and data systems during the admission process.
  • Represents Meadows at various college fairs and admission events nationally.
  • Coordinates and executes on campus recruitment events with the Meadows admission team.
  • Occasional evening/weekend hours are required during peak admission season.


Qualifications

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in Arts or Communication field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.

A minimum of three years of experience in college admissions is required. Experience in recruiting college arts programs is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Candidate must have an appreciation and understanding of students seeking enrollment in performing and visual arts programs is required.

Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills to effectively communicate with prospective students and their families, as well as partner with faculty, staff, and other participants in the admission process. A strong customer service orientation is essential. Data collection, analysis, and leveraging- preferred.

Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills.

Candidate must be able to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and have the ability to learn new computer applications as needed.
