The Office of Development and Alumni Relations at the Kelley School of Business is searching for a dynamic and driven alumni professional to join our team. The Associate Director of Advancement plays an integral role in the philanthropic efforts for the school. The office is a fully functional development and alumni operation that includes several major gift staff members, corporate and foundation relations team, annual fund team, stewardship representative, alumni engagement team, parent engagement and supporting administrative staff.

Job Summary

The position will contribute and drive the regional engagement strategy for assigned Kelley markets.

Department-Specific Responsibilities

  • Works with alumni leaders within the Kelley network to plan, coordinate and execute events.
  • Serves as an advisor to new and existing volunteer leadership and play a key role in developing, coordinating and meeting with key internal partners to deliver strategic and meaningful regional alumni engagement opportunities for Kelley.
  • Identifies, recruits, and trains new alumni volunteer leaders within the Alumni Leadership Network.
  • Conducts personal engagement visits, as well as, responsible for annual solicitation of alumni volunteers.
  • Tracks, measures, and reports on all metrics and information related to personal contacts and interactions, volunteer engagement and giving.
General Responsibilities
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes alumni volunteer projects, programs and events as a leader advisor for an assigned alumni group.
  • Identifies, recruits, and develops alumni to serve in key volunteer and leadership roles.
  • Collaborates with other university advancement officers to engage and cultivate alumni through various initiatives.
  • Conducts research and analyzes data to recommend key market priorities consistent with alumni association and institutional goals.
  • Develops best practice processes and systems for increasing alumni volunteer involvement and connection with the university.
  • Manages budgets; writes and edits publications and other communications.

EDUCATION

Required
  • Bachelor's degree In related field
WORK EXPERIENCE

Required
  • 2 years of program development, volunteer engagement and cultivation, budget administration

Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.

Frequent travel is required.

Work Location

This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
