The Sourcing Operations Associate Director has responsibility for implementing strategy and leading the day-to-day operations of purchasing in the areas of Components, Machines & Equipment, as well as, indirect services. This position implements strategies to improve procurement efficiency and performance of operations through improved workflows and smarter control points. Expertise in required in negotiating terms and conditions to ensure products and services are procured on time and at the best value for our customers. Will possess strong knowledge and practical experience with FAR, DFAR and other regulations pertaining to US federal procurements. Assists in developing and enhancing command media relevant to the Sourcing Operations function. This leader also takes responsibility for individual and team employee development, sets employee objectives and monitors the status to achieving those objectives at staff levels.

Primary Responsibilities

Supplier contract negotiation and administration; supplier development, sourcing, and driving cost savings.

May engage in supplier relationship management; regulatory compliance, and risk management activities to support buying team and supply chain goals.

Communicates with stakeholders across the organization to ensure customer and program requirements are met through the procurement process.

Requires ability to collaborate cross-functionally regarding policies, practices and procedures.

Manages a mid-sized team consisting of buyers and subcontract administrators. Leads, directs, and reviews the work of professional buyers and supports team as needed.

Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within product area.

Lead efforts to automate manual processes.

Basic Qualifications

* 8+ years' experience in an Operations, Supply Chain, or Sourcing in a highly regulated industry
* Bachelor's degree and commensurate experience in supply chain, business management or finance

* 4 years" minimum supervising or leading teams

* Demonstrated success leading large geographically dispersed teams

* Success implementing business process improvements
* Good interpersonal and relationship management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly and effectively interact with a diverse group of

individuals

* Strong negotiation and influence skills

Preferred Qualifications

Deltek Costpoint experience preferred.

Experience procuring components/machines/equipment

Experience working build to print and CUI/CDI procurements is desired
