Role: Associate Dispatcher



Summary:

The Associate Dispatcher is an entry-level dispatcher position that supports the Operations Manager and/or Lead Dispatcher. This role is primarily office-based and is responsible for the daily administrative work required for smooth branch operations.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:


* Maintain an organized and professional office to receive incoming and outgoing paperwork and shipments.
* Ensure proper documentation and record keeping for all employees and assets.
* Verify proper personnel and equipment are correctly scheduled for each job.
* Communicate with Service, Sales, and Operations departments to develop an efficient and functional schedule.
* Follows up with field personnel throughout the duration of jobs to ensure efficient and cost effective operations.
* Perform data and payroll entry on a weekly basis.
* Spot check equipment and personnel in the yard for appearance and compliance with company policies.
* Order oversize and overweight permits for company vehicles.
* Take on duties as directed by the Operations Manager.
* Takes ownership and solves problems as required.

Requirements/ Qualifications:


* High School diploma or equivalent GED certificate required.
* Advanced interpersonal/ communication skills required.
* Moderate filing and organization skills are required. Advanced skills preferred.
* Introductory knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
* Basic computer aptitude, learning and problem solving skills required.

Special Requirements:


* Must be able to safely perform yard walks and climb on and off heavy equipment in all weather conditions.
* Must be accessible by phone on nights and weekends as needed.
