The Associate HR Business Partner will provide support to and partner with the commercial functions. Working with the Sr. HR Manager, this role will be responsible for talent and performance management, coaching, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and payroll oversight for a population of 115-200 geographically distributed, full-time employees.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with sections of people managers across the commercial team to maximize human capital value to achieve Life Fitness business objectives.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with business leaders and develops a deep knowledge of the business and HR's role within it
  • Coach managers to set aligned and high-quality targets for individuals to drive the business to achieve consistent levels of performance
  • Partner with business leaders on assessing internal and external talent and making key decisions on hiring, internal movement, and compensation
  • Manage recruiting and own selection process for open positions across the commercial functions
  • Partner with and provides advice and counsel to drive performance enablement and management
  • Provide data insights to business leaders on people metrics, such as headcount, turnover, termination, etc.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure compliance with all federal and state laws.
  • Support employees in benefit-related questions and annual open enrollment.
  • Support onboarding new hires and new hire orientation.
  • Back-up support for payroll, managing leaves of absence and workers compensation claims.
  • Support Compensation and Planning efforts and make salary recommendations.
  • Manages and executes project-related HR initiatives and performs other duties assigned.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
  • 3+ years of HR business partnering experience required, prior experience working with sales and marketing preferred, but not required
  • Must possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to interact with and establish trust and credibility with all levels of management.
  • Thrive in an ever-changing business climate and be comfortable with agility and working with multiple management styles and levels within the organization.
  • Must be able to research information and analyze evidence to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations and plans of action.
  • Expertise required in MS Office with intermediate knowledge of Excel / V-Look-up and Pivot Tables
  • Payroll administration and system reporting experience required, prior experience with Workday preferred, but not required
  • Must demonstrate strong analytical ability, organizational skills and keen judgment and problem-solving skills.
  • Must possess excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple work assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
