The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Evening Welding Technology Associate Instructor for the Clarksville Campus.

GENERAL DUTIES: The Evening Welding Technology Associate Instructor is responsible for providing in-person individualized theory and hands-on instruction to adult and high school students to prepare them for employment in the field. Areas of instruction include shielded metal arc (STICK), gas metal arc (MIG), tungsten inert gas (TIG) and flux cored arc welding; symbols and blueprint reading; cutting techniques; grinding; metal preparation; metallurgy; layout; fabrication; power tools; and measurement techniques. The Evening Associate Instructor must monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college's student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation; submit timely reports; and assist in recruitment of new students and placement of graduates. The Evening Associate Instructor must also maintain good public relations with business and industry, participate in advisory committee efforts and cooperate with outside agencies. This position will also supervise and follow-up on students participating in cooperative education. Some travel may be required. This position is full-time and reports to the Director of the Clarksville Campus. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Scheduled class hours are 2:45 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.
SALARY: $49,159-$58,991 per year ($25.21-$30.25 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines and based on related experience.
