The Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of sleep surgery. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Subspecialty training in sleep medicine and/or surgery is strongly encouraged with the applicant being board-certified or board-eligible in sleep medicine.
Teaching responsibilities may include medical student, resident and fellow education, as well as formal lecture opportunities.
Clinical responsibilities may include the medical and surgical treatment of patients with sleep disorders. Individuals are expected to demonstrate the potential for expanding the existing Penn CPAP Alternatives Clinic.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include an active role in growing the existing clinical and translational sleep surgery research program. Candidates must document past research experience and present future ideas. Applicants should have an established record of scholarship activity and/or research programs related to sleep surgery.
