In this role you will engage with research scientists and engineers across RL-R to deliver state of the art machine learning solutions in the audio domain.Together, let's step into the adventure of a lifetime as we make science fiction real and change the world.

Audio Research ML Software Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Build tools, platforms, infrastructure and documentation that enable more efficient and effective ML and CV research as applied to the audio domain.
  • Analyze, evaluate, design, develop, integrate, debug and test realtime Machine Learning solutions for cutting-edge prototypes and user experiences.
  • Build a community of researchers and developers by sharing software engineering best practices, tips and techniques.
  • Collaborate in a diverse team environment across multiple scientific and engineering disciplines, making the architectural tradeoffs required to rapidly deliver software solutions.
  • Write clean readable code, debug complex problems that span systems, understand priorities and fulfill project needs efficiently.
  • Learn constantly, build with inclusion as a core value, dive into new areas with unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of AR/VR problem solving.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years experience working with cloud compute and data storage services.
  • 5+ years experience with deep learning frameworks, such as Pytorch or Tensorflow.
  • 3+ years experience working with large data sets for machine learning, including capturing and annotating.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and evaluating working and end-to-end prototypical learning systems.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in computer vision algorithms such as real time object detection and tracking.
  • Experience working with High Performance Compute solutions.
  • Experience shipping AR/VR solution.
  • Successfully driving and executing on research initiatives.
  • 3D mathematics and applied linear algebra.
  • Experience working within interdisciplinary teams.
