Essential Function

Responsible for the sales, loan production, general management of the loan production personnel, leadership, and development of the Indirect Lending function for the Auto / Marine / RV dealership relationships.

Primary Responsibilities & Duties

  1.  Oversees loan production sales team consisting of dealer relationship managers for the Auto / Marine / RV product segments.
  2.  Maintains good working relationship with participating dealer base including; promoting the Credit Union as the preferred lending source, presenting difficult denials in a positive relationship building manner, assuring prompt, courteous service.
  3. Responsible for development of Indirect Lending personnel, management of human resource issues, promotion of a sound working environment, and development of policies and procedures necessary to achieve strategic goals.
  4. Responsible for the annual production budget and assisting with the strategic plan for the Indirect Lending function.
  5. Responsible for managing, developing, and growing the TCU Lending Agency, LLC and their indirect lending portfolio with other credit union partners.
  6. Assume additional responsibilities as necessary for the growth and development of the Indirect Lending function.
  7. Assumes additional responsibilities as necessary for the continued growth and advancement of the Credit Union.

Specific Skills

  •  Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • PC literacy, basic software knowledge and data entry ability.
  • Ability to solve problems involving multiple variables.
  • Good organizational skills and analytical abilities necessary to evaluate complex financial statements and loan applications.
  • Ability to effectively present information and interact in person and in a telephone environment.
  • Ability to perform efficiently while working under deadlines and time constraints.
  • Ability to perform difficult discussions utilizing tact and discretion.

Accountability

  •  Responsible for protecting the Credit Union's assets by utilization of TCU's lending matrix and lending policies. 
  •  Expected to participate in community service and promotional events, which foster their personal development and promote a positive image of the Credit Union in the community.
  • Meeting sales, profitability and underwriting goals and other performance management measures as established
  • Accountable for supervisory responsibilities that are in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Accountable with "Authority to Approve" for approving a purchase order for a purchase by an Authorized Purchasing Agent as referred to in TCU's "Cash Expenditure Policy
  • Accountable for Performance Management Goals as agreed upon with Supervisor.
  • Accountable for understanding and applying government laws and regulations and TCU policies and procedures relating to the Anti-Money Laundering Regulations including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), US PATRIOT ACT and OFAC

Minimum Requirements

  •  Bachelors degree in business, finance or related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Indirect Dealer financing or comparable experience in a related field and knowledge of financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability in direct supervision and other management skills.
  • A thorough understanding of consumer lending regulations such as the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (Regulation B) and Truth in Lending (Regulation Z).
