RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client in Waltham, MA is seeking an Azure Service Development Engineer to join their team.Key Tasks:

• Azure Service Development Engineer will define technical control points and automate configuration/auto-remediation
• Assess service against company policy and NIST 800-171a control requirements & remediate gaps; Audit logging and alerting
• Develop Terraform modules and/or Ansible Playbooks for standardized lifecycle management
• Develop event-driven automation for post provision configuration and auto-remediation
• Centralized logging and monitoring using Log Analytics and Splunk, Python, PowerShell, Shell Scripting
• Security minded individual; Understands AAD management, administration, and security
• Network/network security integration and automation

REQUIREMENTS:

• Senior Azure Architect/Engineer (5+ years)
• 5-10 years of large enterprise experience
• Hands-on technical service development on the Azure Cloud Platform
• Good knowledge on one or more Azure Services or equivalent services from other cloud providers
• Technical depth in Azure service administration, software development and troubleshooting skills
• Technical depth and working experience in on or more of the following areas; Azure Landing Zone reference Architecture/Azure USGov account structure and provisioning automation/Azure Monitor/Azure Backup/Azure Migrate/Azure Application Insights/Log Analytics/Azure Policy/Azure Resource Manager/Azure Kubernetes/Azure DataBricks/Azure Application Service Plans and related services/Azure Functions and/or logic apps/Azure EventGrid/Azure Service Bus/Azure database technologies/Azure Automation Accounts and Azure Workbooks
• Development experience with programming languages such as .NET, Python, shell scripting, etc.
• Ansible automation or experience with automation orchestration tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet, saltstack, Terraform
• Proficiency with Agile and DevOps tools
• Hands-on experience with Terraform Enterprise and Ansible Tower development
• Experience operating in government regulated environments with strict compliance requirements
• Automation centric and security focused

Interpersonal Skills:

• Documentation and Technical Writing with proper grammar
• Define controls and guardrails for individual services
• Document service architecture and implementation guides for app teams
• Understanding or appreciation for the IT -big picture-
• Ability to perform demonstrations to a large audience
