JOB SUMMARY

Guida's Dairy a DFA Dairy Brands company has immediate job openings for Bagger/DeBagger Operator to perform an array of functions including maintaining, breaking down and setting up equipment and machinery, while troubleshooting and resolving operating issues. The Bagger/DeBagger Operator operates any of the filler machines to put product into plastic containers, poly-pack containers, and paper cartons in the Packaging Department. Machine Operator will be responsible for processing finished or raw milk, while following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and communicating effectively with all departments and meeting daily deadlines. Support activities of bagging and debagging bottles for fluid milk packaging, familiar with equipment and quality controls, maintain flow of bottles, remove defective bottles from line, recycle defective bottles, maintain communication with other departments including cooler and production, notify management of any and all production and safety concerns or problems and maintain a clean and sanitary work area.

OUR BAGGER/DEBAGGERS FOR THIS POSITION MAKE:

  • $18 per hour
SCHEDULE:
  • 2nd shift: 3pm - 1130pm (must be available to work weekends); 5-6 days a week "flexible"
  • 3rd shift: 11pm - 730am (must be available to work weekends); 5-6 days a week "flexible;\" typical start up on 3rd shift consists of Sunday night into Monday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to the following:
  • Ensure compliance with corporate safety standards and applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies - GMP practices.
  • Unload trucks and store raw materials in designated areas.
  • Load trucks with finished products in accordance with customer specifications.
  • Transfer and store finished products / swap product from trailers.
  • Repack damaged containers and keep storage area in proper order.
  • Assist in inventory finished goods.
  • Keep production lines supplied with raw materials / finished product.
  • Keep materials segregated by type and date code.
  • Fill customer requisitions.
  • May prepare materials for grinding process.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Provide break relief as directed by shift leader.
  • Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
  • Coordinate the activities of other workers engaged in handling goods to be shipped or being received.
  • Complete shipping and receiving reports.
  • Load and secure product in accordance with SOP.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and daily, Monthly, quarterly cleaning schedule.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1 year experience preferred.
  • Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend for virtually the entire shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally including overhead.
  • Must be able to work in a wet environment.
  • Some exposure to cleaning chemicals.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays.
  • Be able to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to pass all pre*employment screens (including drug, background, and criminal checks).
