We are seeking an experienced Benefits Manager to join our Human Resources team!

*This will be a hybrid position; both working from home and in a corporate or regional office. Candidate must be within commuting distance to our San Diego, CA, Irving, TX, or Arlington, VA office.

Essential Duties

  • This role will evaluate and recommend employee benefit elements, including 401(k), with the goal of creating an attractive and competitive benefits program.
  • Work with vendors and leadership to determine competitive positioning of the organization's benefit offerings.
  • Regularly renegotiates or re-evaluates vendors in search of opportunities for cost-saving.
  • Manages open enrollment: schedules and leads meetings or information sessions, drafts and sends employee communications, answers questions or inquiries, and transmits enrollment data to vendors or administrators.
  • Administers health and welfare policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
  • Leads and directs the work of a Benefits Specialist.

Experience and Education

The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the field's concepts and principles. Requires a bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of experience, including management experience.

Competencies

Ability to foster teamwork. Management skills. Oral and written communication skills. Analytical thinking skills. Statistical knowledge. Strong HRIS (Workday preferred) and reporting technical skills. Ability to meet deadlines.
