BI Data Analyst

Description:

The Business Intelligence Data Analyst will be responsible for performing analysis, reporting, visualization, and information portal delivery to support decisions across the cyber security organization and technology/business partners across the firm. He/she will be responsible for creating and maintaining dashboards, reports, data visualizations, web portal content and using data to forecast or guide business activity. The ideal candidate will have the curiosity and skills to investigate data from multiple angles, conduct research and identify trends while partnering with colleagues to match data from multiple resources to make recommendations.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing business intelligence solutions for the organization.
  • Developing and maintaining dashboards, generating reports, preparing data visualizations, and using data to forecast or guide business activity.
  • Collaborating with service teams across cyber to manage information portal content and drive requirements for continual improvements and enhancements.
  • Communicate internally to collect and validate data as well as answer questions regarding reports and data.
  • Works on complex projects of large scope.
  • Build automation and additional efficiencies into manual reporting efforts.
  • Helps implement new practices, processes, and procedures.
  • Create and maintain relevant documentation
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Data Analysis, MIS or equivalent and 7+ years relevant work experience
Job Related Experience:
  • Experience developing and maintaining BI solutions for the organization
  • Experience developing and maintaining dashboards, preparing data visualizations, and correlating data to improve decision making ability
  • Experience with SharePoint online and Office 365/Power Platform tools and services (Power BI/Power Automate/Flow/Forms)
  • Gather, analyze, and translate business needs into actionable, clearly defined user stories
  • Leverages Jira to track requirements, prioritize features, curate content, sequence deliverables into sprints, and report progress
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to deliver on a common goal
  • Communicate and report product-related issues and status updates to key stakeholders such as SMEs and Management as needed
  • Strong collaboration, influencing skills, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Organizational and time management skills

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Technical Skills Required:
  • 7+ years' experience on multiple (3+) BI related projects i.e., reporting, visualization, web portal
  • 5+ years' experience with enterprise BI tools (Power BI/Tableau/Looker)
  • 5+ years' experience with SharePoint
  • 5+ years' experience business analysis and requirements writing
  • 3+ years' experience with Office 365/Power Platform/SharePoint Online
Preferred Experience:
  • Financial (Payments, Banking) industry experience
  • Security Event and Information Management experience
  • Google Cloud Platform (Big Query/Looker)
  • Client-side web development project experience is a plus
