BIM Technician

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for project setup and family creation
  • Acts as first line of defense for Revit related support.
  • Works with design staff to create unique project related content (families, details, schedules, title blocks etc.)
  • Assists BIM Manager with BIM process improvement initiatives as needed.


Requirements
  • A college degree in Design & Drafting Technology, Architecture, Engineering, or Construction disciplines is preferred, but not required.
  • 2-4 years of experience operating in a BIM role at an Architecture, MEP, Structural, or related firm.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Revit.
  • Proficient with legacy CAD software and workflows such as AutoCAD.
  • Experience working with BIM 360 (Collaborate Pro)
  • Can thoroughly perform quality control check on your own work.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Able to manage time across multiple projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Possess drive to pursue continued education in BIM
  • Passion about BIM and how it can be used to improve the productivity of those who work in design and construction.
  • Customer Service mindset internally and externally

Preferred
  • General understanding of Architectural, MEP, and Structural disciplines.
  • Experience with creating parametric families
