JOB SUMMARY

Demonstrates competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related to Nurse call, Sonifi, and Pneumatic tube systems preventative maintained and repairs, demonstrates competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related beds, stretchers and wheelchairs preventative maintained and repairs. Demonstrates competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related to patient furniture, fitness equipment, patent traction devices preventative maintained and repairs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Demonstrates competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related to Nurse call, Sonifi, and Pneumatic tube systems preventative maintained and repairs.

a. Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on time and accurately.
b. Responds and repairs failures timely and independently.
c. Assess equipment and communicate replacement needs to leadership.

2. Demonstrates competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related beds, stretchers and wheelchairs preventative maintained and repairs.

a. Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on time and accurately.

3. Demonstrates competence in the performance of duties and responsibilities related to patient furniture, fitness equipment, patent traction devices preventative maintained and repairs.

a. Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on time and accurately.
b. Responds and repairs failures timely and independently.
c. Assess equipment and communicate replacement needs to leadership.

4. Completes proper documentation related to inspections/tests, and maintenance. maintains ongoing knowledge of patient systems and equipment

a. Maintain ongoing knowledge bed, stretcher and wheelchair components and parts
b. Maintain ongoing knowledge of nurse call, Sonifi and pneumatic tube system.
c. Maintain ongoing knowledge of fitness equipment an main campus and offsites
d. Complete any other job-related training or educational session needed to maintain knowledge.
e. Complete all documentation on time and included all required information (i.e., name, date, time, results).
f. Document and complete or schedule all needed repairs in an appropriate amount of time.

Qualifications
Experience Minimum Required
• Over three years in Patient Equipment repair

Experience Preferred/Desired
• Over 5 years in patient equipment repair

Education Minimum Required
• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency

Education Preferred/Desired
• Specialty courses through manufacturers for beds, stretchers, wheelchairs ,nurse call systems pneumatic tube system and fitness equipment

Special Skills Minimum Required
• Good working knowledge of patient equipment and systems must use basic tools; electrical drill, screwdriver and hammer; must use testing instruments (i.e. multimeter).
• Must be able to work independently and manage numerous assignments efficiently and effectively.
• Must be able to interact with various personalities in a professional manner and provide good internal and external customer service.

Licensure and/or Certifications Required
• Driver's License
