Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical safety specialist for the Operations leadership team
  • Participate in development and execution of site safety strategies
  • Lead and drive Ergonomics strategy for the site
  • Work closely with site EH&S leader, Operations team, and Manufacturing Engineering team to identify and address site specific risks
  • Participate and lead safety related problem-solving activities with internal and external resources including corporate teams
  • Recommend process and product safety features that will reduce employees' exposure to chemical, physical, and biological work hazards.
  • Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance.
  • Install safety devices on machinery, or direct device installation.
  • Support Investigation of industrial accidents and injuries to determine causes and preventive measures.
  • Engage employees to obtain information about work environments and workplace incidents to reduce risk
  • Ability to conduct or coordinate employee training
  • Write and revise safety procedures/standard work.
  • Design and build safety equipment and devices.

Job Qualifications:

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related education preferred.
Experience
  • Applicable industrial experience would also be considered.
