SUMMARY:

The Brand Manager is responsible for management of the business activities for the brand and has total responsibility to manage budget and P&L to meet company objectives for Annual Operating Plan and Long Range Planning process. This role develops and/or collaborates on long and short-term strategies, marketing plans, new products, packaging, advertising, and sales promotion programs that will achieve corporate profit, volume, and share objectives.

Responsibilities

  • P&L ownership for the assigned Brands/Categories including submitting business plans that define success for your area of ownership
  • Manage your team to accomplish set financial/volumetric goals for your assigned category
  • Create share growth strategy and tactics for assigned Brands/Categories
  • Define desired product quality and ensure specs drive desired quality
  • Assist with the Strategic Planning process and the development/execution of Growth Strategies and the Annual Marketing Plans for assigned Brands/Categories
  • Lead Quantitative and Qualitative Brand/Category performance analysis in support of the weekly and monthly business reviews with SVP for the assigned categories, provide detailed analysis using analytic resources for assigned Businesses/Categories
  • Build and execute pricing strategy for assigned Categories
  • Collaborate with and leverage Insight Intel team
  • Lead Cross Functional Team projects (Insights, Finance, Operations, Demand Planning, S,S&P, Innovation, R&D, and Shopper Marketing) in support of Category objectives ; lead cross functional team projects (as assigned)
  • Support the development of Marketing Tactics to support the Brand Strategy
  • Develop and maintain Competitive Intelligence documents
  • Manage the process of identifying industry and consumer trends; manage proprietary research projects, mine and analyze secondary data to spot trends and insights in support of defined strategies
  • Seek opportunities for personal development and proactively identify ways to add value to Business Unit teams
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or similar field preferred
  • 7-8 years of experience in business management, preferred and/or MBA
  • P&L Management and Ownership and/or Brand Growth experience in the food industry, specifically in protein preferred
