Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Business Administrator C is an integral member of the finance team that provides administrative support for daily financial operations for the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care. This position is responsible for creating, analyzing and managing budget, preparing complex financial reports, managing gifts, endowments, grants, and research and discretionary funds.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining and tracking faculty and staff salary distribution and other payroll activities, overseeing purchasing, accounts payable, financial reports and reconciling monthly BEN transactions and other systems to ensure data integrity.
Job Description
Under limited supervision of the Director of Finance, the Business Administrator C will manage and process payroll for the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine for weekly and monthly paid faculty, staff, postdoctoral researcher/fellows, moonlighters, work-study/student workers, and temporary/extra employees. The incumbent will prepare, maintain, and manage the Department's salary/effort schedules for all monthly and weekly paid employees in collaboration with grants manager, both internal and external, to collect payroll funding support sources and documentation, as well as obtain from the Department's Director of Fiscal Operations, or other appropriate party, the discretionary account funding sources. In this role the Business Administrator C will provide financial analytics and auditing support for the university payroll functions across the division.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
