Role Overview

At Accolade, the Business Analyst I is responsible for working in a high priority, fast-paced, data-driven culture to answer the critical questions posed by our Operations teams. You will gain a front-row seat to the most meaty challenges the company is tackling. This position will work with a broad array of stakeholders across the business to define metrics, build reports, and analyze data to distill valuable insights/suggestions based on their findings. These metrics and reports measure the performance of our business and products to ensure we are delivering against our promise to improve the health of every member.

A Day in the Life

  • Report on key performance indicators for Accolade's Operations team
  • Develop metrics and targets that measure Accolade's performance against KPIs
  • Write/program/develop and implement reports and interactive data visualizations from multiple data sources in order to inform business decisions
  • Reporting of key insight trends, using statistical rigor to simplify and inform the larger team of noteworthy story lines
  • Proactively identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations
  • Continually improve ongoing reporting and analysis processes, automating or simplifying processes
  • Organize and communicate insights to stakeholders in formal and informal meetings
  • Perform code reviews, technical discussions to unblock the team
  • Assist with process definition and library of reusable objects (fields, calculations, KPI, etc.).
  • Support adhoc data requests by writing advanced SQL queries

What we are looking for
  • 1-3 years of Business Intelligence, analytics, or reporting experience
  • Experience working within a contact center environment
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in Business, Business Analytics, Mathematics/Statistics, Information Management, or Computer Science Engineering related fields
  • Curious mind that is asking questions to deeply understand requirements and importance of work
  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex business questions, plan, manage, deliver, and maintain work load
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills characterized by the ability to listen, speak and write well
  • Ability to plan roadmap, prioritize tasks, manage dependencies and deliver on time
  • Strong organizational skills and planning prowess, with excellent attention to detail
  • Understanding of SQL scripting languages (T-SQL, PL/SQL, etc.)
  • Experience or exposure to reporting tools such as AWS Quicksight, PowerBI, Tableau, or Qlik
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data concepts into understandable headlines with ease and comfort
  • Proficient in MS Office with a strong knowledge of Powerpoint, Excel (including the use of formulas and pivot tables), and SharePoint
  • Propensity to be detail oriented and pay attention to the small stuff
